Terms of use for The Hanon Method.

Effective April 13, 2026. These terms govern use of the app, website, and related support channels.

Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using The Hanon Method, you agree to these terms and the related Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and website for personal or internal studio practice purposes in accordance with these terms. The app is licensed, not sold. If you obtained the iOS app through Apple, mandatory App Store terms and the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement apply to the extent required by Apple.

Accounts and security

  1. Some builds are local-only. Others may allow optional accounts and sync.
  2. You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and any device you use to access the app.
  3. You agree to provide accurate account information if you create an account.
  4. You must notify support if you believe your account or session has been compromised.

Acceptable use

  1. Do not misuse, interfere with, reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt unauthorized access to the product or backend.
  2. Do not use the service in a way that harms other users, service providers, or platform integrity.
  3. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, abusive, or malicious material through profile or support features.

Content and intellectual property

The app, website, software, visual design, branding, analytics presentation, and related materials are owned by or licensed to The Hanon Method and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of any underlying rights.

Practice data and backups

Practice records and related account data are handled according to the Privacy Policy. Device-local data can remain available after remote account deletion unless local app storage is also removed. Public deletion instructions are available at Account deletion.

Paid features and App Store billing

If premium features, subscriptions, or other in-app purchases are made available, billing and cancellation are handled through the applicable app marketplace, including Apple where relevant. Marketplace terms control payment processing, refunds, and subscription management to the extent required by that marketplace.

Availability and changes

  1. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, content, support channels, or service integrations.
  2. We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change.
  3. Material updates will appear on this page with a revised effective date.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. The Hanon Method is a practice tool, not a medical, legal, or educational certification service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect measurement accuracy in every hardware setup, or uninterrupted compatibility with every device or MIDI environment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Hanon Method and its operators, licensors, and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, if the service is being retired, or if access must be restricted for security, legal, or operational reasons. You may stop using the app at any time and may request remote account deletion where supported.
